Chemguard produces low-temperature foam concentrates for both hydrocarbon fuels and polar-solvent and water-miscible fuels. Chemguard 3% and 6% low-temperature aqueous film-forming foam concentrates (AFFF-LTs) are specially formulated for extinguishing Class B hydrocarbon fuel fires (diesel, gasoline, kerosene, etc.) in temperatures as low as -20° F. Our 3% alcohol-resistant aqueous film-forming foam concentrate (AR-AFFF-LT) is formulated for extinguishing Class B hydrocarbon fuel fires as well as polar-solvent and water-miscible fuel fires (alcohols, esters, ketones, etc.).
Applications include crash fire rescue, non-polar solvent fuel storage tanks, transportation, processing and storage facilities, docks and tankers, flammable liquid containment areas, and on mobile equipment. Suitable for aspirating foam and standard water fog nozzles, as well as with deluge and closed-head foam/water sprinkler systems, these synthetic UL Listed foams can be used with fresh or salt water.
Chemguard AFFF-LT foam concentrates exhibit excellent wetting characteristics on Class A fuel fires and can be used with siliconized dry chemical extinguishing agents.
