Chemguard Blizzard freeze-protected aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) solution is specially formulated for extinguishing of Class B hydrocarbon fuel fires – such as diesel, gasoline, and kerosene. Typical applications for Blizzard AFFF include crash fire rescue, non-polar solvent fuel storage tanks, transportation facilities, processing and storage facilities, docks and tankers, and flammable liquid containment areas, as well as on mobile equipment.
Chemguard Blizzard foam solution exhibits excellent wetting characteristics when used on Class A fuel fires. Also, Blizzard foam solution can be used with siliconized dry chemical extinguishing agents.
Blizzard foam solution is suitable for use with aspirating foam and standard water fog nozzles but should not be proportioned. Also, Blizzard is not intended for use on polar solvent and water miscible fuels, such as alcohols, esters, and ketones.
