The CON-SPACE Power Talk Box System is a portable intercom System designed to provide untethered, continuous two-way communication between, a Safety Attendant and the Confined Space Entrant/s in his/her care.
Both the Attendant and all Entrants remain untethered, communicating at each end through a Power Talk Box (PTB).
The Entrant PTB is a full duplex device with a microphone that picks up voice from 20 ft. or more, depending on background noise. The powered speaker is very loud and designed to be heard by entrants in medium noise to distances up to 30 ft. While the Attendant PTB has all the same qualities, its microphone does not remain open so that road noise etc. does not disturb Entrants, however, the Attendant can hear Entrants continuously. To speak with Entrants, the Attendant uses a Push To Talk (PTT) switch mounted on his/her PTB, which is also a Controller and contains the built in, loud sounding alert, that can be used by Entrants if voice contact cannot be made with the Attendant.
